Maker of the Month - January 2021

Happy New Year! One of the the longest and most challenging years is finally over. 2020 was a wild ride and definitely one that will go down in history.

With all the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season and the Covid craziness, we missed the Maker of the Month for November and December.

Let’s start the new year off right with our first vendor feature for 2021.

We don’t want you to miss out on discovering Chelsea, the incredibly talented owner of Gilligan Custom Designs, based in Burlington, Ontario.

Although 2020 was a dumpster fire of a year for most of us, many wonderful things came out of it - lessons learned, priorities changed and the motivation to turn a love of crafting into the pursuit of something more.

After all, life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

Chelsea is no exception to this. She didn’t let Covid get her down. Instead, it inspired her to pursue her love of crafting and launch it into a small business while still working full time.

Although Chelsea just began crafting this year, her creations shine with originality, excellent attention to detail and flawless designs.

You can call her the Chelsea of all trades because she doesn’t limit herself to one medium or style. She uses a variety of materials such as vinyl, resin and wood.

ALL work and no play? Nope!  Chelsea creates fun Tik Tok videos that are inspiring and capture her skills in detail. Just like the catchy tunes in her process videos, she doesn’t miss a beat.

She always puts a unique spin on the craft trends which make her products stand out.

In such a short period of time, she is already leading the way for multi-talented crafters and small business owners.

Let’s start the new year with positivity! In all things there is a positive and we are POSITIVE that you will love Gilligan Custom Designs as much as we do.

Follow her on Instagram, Facebook and Tik Tok (@chelsgilligan) and see for yourself!
